The National Association for Fixed Annuities (NAFA) has named Eric Thomes to be the 2011 chair.
Thomes is a senior vice president of sales at Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America, Golden Valley, Minn., a unit of Allianz S.E., Munich, Germany, according to NAFA, Milwaukee. He also has been an independent agent.
Danette Kennedy, a field training and development executive at Aviva USA, Des Moines, Iowa, a unit of Aviva P.L.C., London (NYSE:AV), will be the vice chair .
NAFA expects to announce the names of the board secretary, treasurer and committee chairs later this month.
