Believe it or not, the new year is upon us, and to help start out on the best foot, you must reassess and restrategize your marketing plan. Marketing is not a one-size-fits-all concept, so you need to take a good, hard look at your business strategy to check for areas for improvement. It may be a little painful to be objective when it comes to your own practice, but it truly will benefit you in the long run with a slew of new clients beating down your door.

Here are three tips to get you started:

  • Use the power of attraction. Through this method of attraction marketing, you can literally draw clients to you by giving them something of value, whether in the form of online articles, newsletters or videos. This helps attract the customer to your brand on a personal level, so they automatically choose you over your competition every time.
  • Research your competition. It is essential you understand how your top competitors interact with their clients, follow up with them and keep them coming back for more. When you fully grasp how your competition reaches out to your client base, you can jump right in there with them and potentially siphon off a large amount of clients for your own business.
  • Reach out to local media. One innovative and entirely free marketing method is to write letters or articles for your local newspaper or business magazine. As long as they are relevant, informative and related to your industry, the odds are a local newspaper would be happy to publish your letter for free. Not only does this get you quick and effective publicity, but it continues to solidify your authority as a top businessperson in your community.
