Bruce Ramge has been appointed acting director of the Nebraska Department of Insurance by Gov. Dave Heineman (R.).

Ramge succeeds Ann Frohman, who announced in late August that she would leave her post Oct. 29. She has since joined Physicians Mutual Insurance Co. in Omaha.

Ramge has been with the state’s Department of Insurance market conduct division since 1984. He served as deputy director since January 2008.

Ramge is a member of the NAIC Market Analysis Working Group and chairs the NAIC Market Conduct Examination Standards Working Group.
