Robert Richter to Lead ASPPA

Robert Richter is now the president-elect of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA).

ASPPA, Arlington, Va., represents individuals who provide consulting services and administrative services for retirement plans that qualify for special tax treatment.

Richter, who is based in Jacksonville, Fla., is a vice president in the benefit administration business at SunGard Data Systems Inc. He has a law degree from Florida State University and a master of laws in taxation from the University of Florida.

Richter’s term as president of ASPPA will start in October 2011.

Richter has been a senior vice president at ASPPA and co-chair of ASPPA’s government affairs committee.
