The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company, Horsham, Pa., has announced the recent appointment of Timothy Thompson to manager of the Dougherty Agency’s new office in Portland, Maine. In this role, Thompson will be responsible for agency building and recruiting, training, supervising and motivating agents.
Prior to joining Penn Mutual, Thompson held positions as a general agent at Guardian Mutual and an agency manager at Metlife.
Thompson previously served as the President of the Southern Maine National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) from 1992 to 1994. He has received numerous GAMA awards and has been recognized by the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT). Timothy holds FINRA series 6, 7, 26, 24, 65 licenses.
Thompson studied History, Political Science and Communications at the University of Montana. He plays an active role in the Cape Elizabeth community, serving as president of the Cape Elizabeth Education Foundation. He resides in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, with his wife Nancy. He is the father of five.
