A Midwestern health carrier has chosen a pharmacy benefit manager (PBM).
Catalyst Rx, the PBM arm of Catalyst Health Solutions Inc., Rockville, Md. (Nasdaq:CHSI), says it has won a new contract to provide PBM services for Wellmark Inc., Des Moines, Iowa.
The contract will take effect Jan. 1, 2011, and cover plans with about 1.2 million enrollees, Catalyst Rx says.
Catalyst Rx now provides PBM services for plans with about 8 million enrollees.
