Western & Southern Financial Group, Cincinnati, has promoted Daniel J. Downing, CFP, to senior vice president of independent agent distribution for W&S Financial Group Distributors, Inc., the company’s wholesale distributor of annuity and life insurance products to financial institutions, independent agents and broker-dealers nationwide.
Downing is responsible for the strategic and operational direction of the independent agent distribution channel. He also continues to serve as national sales manager for the independent agent channel, headquartered in Goshen, New York. He reports directly to Mark E. Caner, MBA, AEP, ChFC, CLU, CFP, president of W&S Financial Group Distributors.
“Dan has played an integral role in our efforts to deliver National Integrity products through independent agents and financial planners in New York,” said Caner. “Now his energy, insights, proven leadership abilities and more than 27 years of experience will serve him well as he heads all our business development and sales activities through independent agents and independent marketing organizations nationally.”
