About 92% of the U.S. adults who participated in a recent survey said there is a retirement crisis in the United States.

Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America, Golden Valley, Minn., a unit of Allianz S.E., Munich, published that finding in a summary of results from an online May survey of 3,257 U.S. adults ages 44 to 75.

About 48% of all survey participants said they “absolutely” believe there is a retirement crisis, and 44% said they “somewhat” believe in the existence of a crisis.

In the under 50 age group, the percentage saying they believe a retirement crisis exists was 97%.
