The American Academy of Actuaries (AAA) board has elected David Sandberg president-elect.

Sandberg will succeed Mary Frances Miller as president-elect of the AAA, Washington, when she becomes president of the academy at the close of its annual meeting Nov. 8, the board says.

Sandberg is a vice president and corporate actuary at Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America, Golden Valley, Minn., a unit of Allianz S.E., Munich, Germany.

Sandberg was vice president of the AAA Life Practice Council from 2005 to 2007.

The academy board also has elected Stephen Rosen to be secretary; John Schubert to serve a second year as treasurer; and Tim Wisecarver, Tom Wildsmith and John Gleba to be vice presidents.
