Personnel Changes: Hartford, Aflac, Capital Financial, Others

The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., Hartford, has hired Karen C. Tripp to be executive vice president of marketing and communications.

Tripp previously was vice president of corporate communications at L-3 Communications, New York. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of North Dakota.

In other personnel news:

Aflac Inc., Columbus, Ga., has promoted Kenneth S. Janke Jr. to executive vice president and deputy chief financial officer of Aflac.

Janke previously was senior vice president of investor relations at Aflac.

Aflac also promoted Robin Y. Wilkey to senior vice president, investor relations, to take over the responsibilities previously held by Janke.

Janke has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in business administration from Oakland University’s School of Economics and Management.

Wilkey has a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Georgia.

Capital Financial Partners, Vienna, Va., a general agency of the Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company, has hired John Dixon.

Dixon previously worked at Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, New York. He has a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Maryland.

Comprehensive Care Corp., Tampa, Fla., has announced that John Hill has resigned from his positions of co-chief executive officer, president and director, effective immediately.

Clark A. Marcus is now the sole chief executive officer for the company.

Hill will remain with the company as a consultant.

Ash Brokerage Corp., Fort Wayne, Ind., has hired Denis J. Clifford to be executive vice president and chief marketing officer, effective Oct. 18.

Clifford previously held a variety of management positions during 10 years at the Savings Bank Life Insurance Company of Massachusetts, Woburn, Mass.
