Dip Seen in Employer Retirement Plans

Employer-provided retirement plans were available to 74% percent of all full-time workers in private industry in March 2010, down from 76% a year earlier, Federal data show.

The National Compensation Survey from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) showed 39% of part-time private industry workers had access to a retirement plan, unchanged from the year before.

Access to medical care benefits was provided to 86% of full time workers in private industry and 24% of part-timers, unchanged from 2009, according to BLS, part of the U.S. Dept. of Labor.
