An independent rating agency has named a new top executive.
Weiss Group Inc., Jupiter, Fla., has brought in Thomas Clarke Jr. to be chief executive officer (CEO).
Martin Weiss, the man who founded the firm in 1971, will continue to be the chairman.
Clarke, 53, was CEO of TheStreet.com for 10 years.
Clarke has a bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University and a master’s degree in business from Hofstra University.
