Hyatt Legal Plans, a MetLife Inc. company, has acquired the group legal plans division of Allstate Corp.

MetLife, New York (NYSE:MET), says Hyatt Legal, Cleveland, will combine the former Signature LegalCare unit with its own operations.

MetLife is not saying how much it is paying Allstate (NYSE:ALL) for the unit.

Before Hyatt Legal made the deal, it was already the largest group legal plan provider in the United States, MetLife says.

Excluding Signature, Hyatt Legal has 2 million plan members and dependents and a network of 5,200 legal services providers.
