An actress who starred in Iron Man 2 and Confessions of a Shopaholic will be the national spokesman for the upcoming Life Insurance Awareness Month campaign.
Leslie Bibb will start sharing her story in radio and television public service announcements next month, according to the Life and Health Insurance Foundation for Education, Arlington, Va.
The main life awareness month activities will take place in September.
Bibb was chosen because life insurance benefited her family after her father died in a work- related accident at age 39.
“Her mother continued to work, but her financial situation was eased by the proceeds from her husband’s life insurance,” LIFE says. “The proceeds from his insurance helped Bibb’s family during that difficult time and enabled her single, working mother to focus on keeping the family together and meeting the needs of her 4 daughters.”
