The Producer Licensing Working Group plans to hold a hearing on producer licensing testing and examinations Aug. 17 in Seattle.
The working group, part of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, Kansas City, Mo., says organizers expect witnesses at the hearing to discuss topics such as the process for establishing exam cut scores, the processes states use to develop test questions, the process for updating exams, and the process for monitoring education providers.
“Should the NAIC establish a more uniform process for examination development and delivery?” organizers ask. “If so, how?”
