The Mountain States Employer Council and UnitedHealthcare are introducing a health plan based on the new Colorado health incentives law.
The Denver-based council and UnitedHealthcare, a unit of UnitedHealth Group Inc., Minnetonka, Minn. (NYSE:UNH), say the HealthSource Colorado plan is designed to suit employers with 1 to 300 employees.
Employers that join the HealthSource Colorado plan can earn annual premium discounts by offering wellness programs, the council says.
The employees in the plans can earn incentives such as gift cards for completing online health assessments, using health coaching programs and participating in other wellness and condition management programs.
About 2,700 council members are eligible to join the plan, the council says.
