The European Life Settlement Association (ELSA) has established an education committee that will give investors, the public, media and regulators information about life settlements.
The committee plans to help the life settlement industry respond to unfavorable publicity about the industry in the media and elsewhere, according to ELSA, London.
ELSA also has announced that Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell L.L.P., New York, a law firm, and one of its partners, Brian Casey, have become members. Casey, who is also on the board of the Life Insurance Settlement Association, Orlando, Fla., will join ELSA’s document standardization committee.
