The National Association for Fixed Annuities, a national trade association dedicated exclusively to promoting the awareness and understanding of fixed annuities, is pleased to announce its collaboration with Insurance Insight Group, a communications and product expertise firm focused on the insurance industry. NAFA has contracted with IIG to provide added assistance in its efforts to continue and expand its education efforts within the industry, as well as the media, legislators, regulators and consumers.

NAFA is a national trade association exclusively dedicated to promoting the awareness and understanding of fixed annuities—including income, declared rate, market value adjusted and indexed. NAFA is the only association whose sole purpose is advocating for and educating about fixed annuity products.

“NAFA has outlined aggressive strategies to expand our focus on education and compliance with suitability, disclosure and material features of fixed annuities in 2010,” said Kim O’Brien, NAFA’s executive director. “Our collaboration with IIG will allow us to implement our strategies on a broad basis.”
Fixed annuities are an important tool for retirement income and legacy planning. The need to be exposed to and understand the value of fixed annuities and their insured guarantees is important to individuals who participate in employer-sponsored retirement plans as well as the 78 million working Americans who lack access to a workplace retirement plan.

A fixed annuity is the only product that allows individuals to accumulate retirement savings, protect those savings from market losses and guarantee income for life.
