Prudential Financial Inc. is promoting its long history and financial strength in two new television spots.
One commercial, “Evolution,” talks about Prudential’s 135 years in business and “commitment to always be there for customers,” and a second, “Headlines,” “focuses on how Prudential helped protect clients during the financial crisis and emerged an even stronger company,” according to Prudential, Newark, N.J. (NYSE:PRU).
The commercials are airing on early morning shows, network shows, prime-time syndicated shows, sports telecasts, and some news and business channels.
Prudential will be running a Spanish-language ad later in the summer, the company says.
Prudential also is advertising on billboards in 15 markets, and is advertising on home-plate signage during television broadcasts for eight Major League Baseball teams.
“Prudential’s signage will get a half inning of TV exposure per home and away game,” the company says.
Prudential is advertising on Major League Baseball’s website for all 30 teams, and it has a co-branded presence with the league on iPad applications and on mobile devices.
