Nationwide Financial Services Inc. has created a new sales team that will market retirement-income products to fee-based advisors.

Nationwide Financial, a unit of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, Columbus, Ohio, says the 7-member group of institutional consultants is led by Karen Heath-Wade, a vice president of sales and retention.

Nationwide notes that it has recently introduced a no-load variable annuity, a retirement income strategy, and “stand-alone living benefit” product.

Nationwide is developing a website aimed at fee-based advisors, the company says.
