New York Lists Approved Settlement Firms

The New York Insurance Department has posted a list of 33 life settlement providers approved to do business in the state.

The listed companies comply with requirements of the Life Settlements Act signed by Governor David A. Paterson in November, according to the department. The list, which will be updated as more companies are approved, can be found by clicking here.
