Nationwide Financial Services Inc. has created a sales team specifically to provide retirement income answers for fee-based advisors.

The team will provide personalized service and support to assist advisors in helping their clients grow and manage retirement income, the company says.

Karen Heath-Wade, vice president of sales and retention at Nationwide, Columbus, Ohio, is leading the 7-member team.

The move comes on the heels of introduction of several retirement income solutions for Nationwide’s fee-based managed account channel, the company says. The products include a no-load variable annuity and a hybrid annuity (a supplemental immediate fixed annuity that is also called a standalone living benefit). Both products are issued by Nationwide Life Insurance Company, part of Nationwide Financial.
