Torchmark Unit Ramps Up Senior, Voluntary Programs

Liberty National Life Insurance Company is opening 50 offices for the senior and voluntary worksite markets and unveiling new Medicare supplement insurance products.

Liberty National, a unit of Torchmark Corp., McKinney, Texas, sells life and supplemental health insurance products through voluntary worksite payroll deduction programs.

Earlier this spring, another Torchmark unit, American Income Life Insurance Company, held a job fair in Davie, Fla., to fill what it said were 125 contracted sales and sales management opening.

In related news, Liberty National has unveiled a family of Medicare supplement insurance products.

The new Platinum Plus Medicare Supplement products feature attained-age, gender-distinct, smoker-non-smoker and geographic area rates. The products are available for issue with effective dates starting June 1, Liberty National says.
