The Insurance Marketplace Standards Association will join with AARP to hold an annuity suitability meeting in Washington June 10.

IMSA, Bethesda, Md., and AARP, Washington, have invited regulators, consumer advocates, life insurance company executives and product distributors to the meeting.

Confirmed participants include New Hampshire Insurance Commissioner Roger Sevigny and Connecticut Insurance Commissioner Thomas Sullivan, organizers say.

John Walsh, a chief counsel at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and Larry Kosciulek, investment companies regulation director at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, also have agreed to participate.
