Ingenix has introduced the Ingenix TrendView employee medical costs analysis system.

Employers and others can use the Web-based system to look at benefits usage data, model future scenarios, and identify possible opportunities to cut medical costs and improve employees’ health, according to Ingenix, Eden Prairie, Minn., a unit of UnitedHealth Group Inc., Minnetonka, Minn. (NYSE:UNH).

The product is aimed mainly at employers with 2,000 to 10,000 employees that offer multiple health plans, and at health plan brokers and consultants who serve midsize employers, Ingenix says.

In other insurance technology news:

- EmblemHealth Inc., New York, will be using the Client Letter system from Top Down Systems Corp., Rockville, Md., for document automation.

EmblemHealth provides health coverage for about 3.4 million people in the New York area.

- Savings Bank Life Insurance Company of Massachusetts, Woburn, Mass., will be using the iAPPS Content Manager and iAPPS Analytics systems from Bridgeline Digital Inc., Woburn, when it updates its website.
