Guardian Opens Critical Illness Program To Smaller Groups

Guardian Life Insurance Company of America has started selling critical illness insurance through employers with as few as 2 employees.

The underlying critical illness policy can pay up to $50,000 to an insured who contracts a covered illness, according to Guardian, New York.

An optional hospital rider can pay as much as $500 per day for up to 10 days for insureds who need hospital care due to illnesses not covered by the underlying policy.
