PacificSource Charitable Foundation Inc., which operates as PacificSource Health Plans, plans to complete a previously announced acquisition of Clear One Health Plans Inc. May 21.

Shareholders of Clear One, Bend, Ore., now have approved the deal, according to PacificSource, Eugene, Ore.

PacificSource also has received approval for the deal from the Oregon Insurance Division, the state's medical assistance programs administrator, and the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the company says.

PacificSource was founded in 1933 and now provides medical and dental coverage for about 181,000 people in Oregon and Idaho.

Clear One is a 14-year-old regional carrier that sells individual and group commercial coverage along with Medicare Advantage plans.

PacificSource agreed to acquire Clear One in December 2009.
