An insurer is joining with NASCAR to highlight the stories of claimants who have responded bravely to adversity.
Aflac Inc., Columbus, Ga. (NYSE:AFL), introduced the Crew of Courage program this weekend at a NASCAR speedway in Talladega, Ala.
Aflac kicked off the program by recognizing an Aflac-insured fan who was injured in the stands at Talladega while watching a NASCAR race. The fan got to join the crew of Carl Edwards, an Aflac-backed NASCAR driver, for a day, the company says.
Aflac also will recognize Aflac insureds in Dover, Del.; Indianapolis; Brooklyn, Mich.; Loudon, N.H.; Kansas City, Kan.; Charlotte, N.C.; and Homestead, Fla.
Other Aflac policyholders can participate in the online Crew of Courage by submitting videos about their own stories to http://www.aflacracing.com
