Principal Financial Group is offering an educational asset allocation service for retirement plan sponsors and their financial advisors.
Called RetireView, the service is designed to help plan sponsors select and monitor the plan’s investment options, says the Des Moines, Iowa company. The company describes it as a “do-it-for-me” service, because it is built so the advisor helps the sponsor in this process.
For instance, with help of the financial advisor, the plan sponsor selects investment options that populate 20 asset allocation models that were designed by Ibbotson Associates, Chicago, the company says. The models range from conservative to aggressive and represent a spectrum of risk profiles, years to retirement and asset classes.
