Your ability to sell is directly related to your stress level, says author and coach John Boe. While this might seem like common knowledge, Boe suggests taking a few minutes to become familiar with the signs of stress and how they can impact your ability to service your clients and generate new ones.

Depending on who you are, stress will impact your life differently. Boe points out these as major indicators of feeling under pressure:

  1. Aloofness
  2. Increased sadness
  3. Panic attacks
  4. Overly sarcastic
  5. Negative self-talk

Holding onto stress beyond a normal amount of time can have significant effects on your body and life in the future. Boe says grinding your teeth, tension headaches, neck and shoulder pain and lower back pain as common indicators of prolonged stress.

What to do about it? Consider these symptoms an early warning of a stressed-out life and look into some stress-relief strategies, from diet modification to exercise and … simple relaxation.
