Morgan Stanley Hires Citi Exec; Shedlin to Boost Investment Banking

Gary Shedlin is leaving Citigroup for Morgan Stanley, various news reports, including Bloomberg News, announced March 9.

Shedlin joined Citigroup in 2004 and has had several high-profile banking assignments since then.

He worked on NYSE Group’s purchase of Euronext NV and has counseled BlackRock on its acquisitions over the past few years, including its purchase of Barclays’ asset manager in 2009 and its acquisition of Merrill Lynch’s investment-management business in 2006.
