Independence Holding Company is putting several benefits administration and marketing businesses in a single company, IHC Health Solutions Inc.
IHC, Stamford, Conn., (NYSE:IHC) says GroupLink Inc., Health Plan Administrators Inc., and the sales, marketing, underwriting, program management and medical management teams at Insurers Administrative Corp. will become IHC Health Solutions Jan. 1, 2010.
“IHC Health Solutions will manufacture, administer and wholesale group and individual dental, vision, short term medical, group and individual limited medical, and group and individual major medical plans,” IHC says.
Each of the IHC carriers — Standard Security Life Insurance Company, Madison National Life Insurance Company and Independence American Insurance Company – will write coverage for the new unit, IHC says.
