Dewald To Lead LIFE

Jack Dewald will take over as chairman of the Life and Health Insurance Foundation for Education board Jan. 1, 2010.

Dewald will succeed Phillip Richards of Sunny Isle Beach, Fla., who will continue to serve on the board of LIFE, Arlington, Va., as the group’s immediate past chairman.

Dewald is the president and owner of Agency Services Inc., Memphis, Tenn., a life and health brokerage agency that has been in business since 1962.

Dewald also is vice chairman of the Marketing Alliance Inc., St. Louis, a life and annuity distribution network. He is a past chairman of the National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies, Fairfax, Va.

In Memphis, Dewald has been president of the local chapters of both the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and the National Association of Health Underwriters.

Michael Weintraub of Walnut Creek, Calif., will be LIFE’s 2010 chairman-elect; Debra Newman of Minneapolis, the secretary; and Brian Ashe of Lisle, Ill., the treasurer.
