An insurance technology company has updated a portfolio valuation service.
SunGard Data Systems Inc., Wayne, Pa., has released version 3.0 of FastVal, a program delivered through application service provider arrangements that helps financial services companies and others value structured products and over-the-counter derivatives.
The new version provides more information about the models and underlying market data used in the valuations.
The new version also provides updated “Greeks.” Greeks are variables that represent the sensitivity of derivatives to changes in the other variables used in a valuation.
In other insurance technology news, Connecture Inc., Atlanta, has introduced the ConsumerEdge program, a package of products and services aimed at health insurers and others in the health insurance market.
The package includes reporting tools, analytical tools, a consumer education tool, a mobile broker application, and electronic signature pad technology.
