A life settlement administrator has teamed with the National Underwriter Company to offer an online life settlement sales training program to producers.
Invescor Ltd., Farmington Hills, Mich., and National Underwriter, Erlanger, Ky., are providing Life Settlement Tools & Techniques, a Web-based program consisting of 4 courses with a total of 13 lessons, ranging from the history of life settlements to regulations and tax rules governing the arrangements.
Among other topics, Life Settlement Tools & Techniques encompasses recent IRS revenue rulings on life settlement taxation as well as Financial Industry Regulatory Authority rules for variable life settlements.
The training program is approved by 49 states and can qualify agents to sell settlements in the 4 states that require a license to sell the products, according to Invescor and National Underwriter
