Term Series Adds 40-Year Plan

A life insurer has expanded its level term life insurance portfolio to include 25- and 40-year term policies.

Amica Life Insurance Company, Lincoln, R.I., says the new offerings will increase flexibility in options for families.

Traditional term life offerings have been for 10-, 15-, 20- and 30-year periods, and few insurers now offer a 40-year term, Amica Life says.

The 40-year policy may not be available in all states or at all ages, and it may be subject to restrictions in some states, the company says.

Amica Life is a subsidiary of Amica Mutual Insurance Company.
