The National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies has presented the 2009 Douglas Mooers Award for Excellence to David Lenaburg.
NAILBA, Fairfax, Va., uses the Mooers Award to honor the individual most committed to furthering independent life brokerage as a distribution system.
Lenaburg is president of Banner Life Insurance Company, Rockville, Md., and William Penn Life Insurance Company of New York, Garden City, N.Y., U.S. units of Legal & General Group P.L.C., London.
Lenaburg has been a major force in generating the funds used for NAILBA Charitable Foundation grants over the past 4 years, NAILBA says.
During NAILBA’s recent annual meeting, Banner Life and William Penn contributed a 1957 Chevrolet Bellaire to the foundation’s raffle.
