A big benefits vendor wants to help other big companies run voluntary group life and disability insurance programs.

Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., Hartford, (NYSE:HIG) says it is aiming the new program at employers with 1,000 or more employees.

The program can manage employer benefits eligibility data; deliver paper, online, telephonic and on-site enrollment services; and handle beneficiary designation and evidence of insurability services.

Hartford also can develop employer-branded benefits websites.
