The Financial Intermediaries Association of Southern Africa has joined ACORD.
The FIA, Centurion, South Africa, represents South Africa financial services intermediaries of all sizes, including intermediaries that sell health insurance, employee benefits and financial planning services, according to ACORD, Pearl River, N.Y.
ACORD sets technical standards for the insurance industry.
In other insurance technology news, Blue Frog Solutions Inc., Pompano Beach, Fla., says it will be building the Digital App and Digital Paramed medical underwriting automation software from Applicint Inc., Reno, Nev., into its AFFIRM for Life system.
Blue Frog plans to release the AFFIRM for Life system sometime between April 1, 2010 and June 30, 2010.
Today, Blue Frog is best known for its AFFIRM for Annuities order-entry system, which helps insurers and distributors automate the process of taking orders for annuities.
