Mingone joins National Life Group as leader of Philadelphia agency

National Life Insurance Company, a member of National Life Group, has appointed Nicholas Mingone as the new leader of its Philadelphia agency. In the role of general agent, he is responsible for the management, growth and direction of that agency.

Mingone is a seasoned professional with a track record that includes 18 years experience managing successful agencies. "We are pleased to have Nick, a proven leader, join the National Life Group family," said Allen Hansen, Sr. Vice President, National Life Group. "His expertise, determination and motivation will help propel our already successful Philadelphia agency."

A graduate of Widener University, Mingone began his career with New England Life as an agent and sales manager for Creative Financial. He later became General Agent for Penn Mutual in Philadelphia, and was recruited to a first line opportunity at New England Life in Cleveland. Mingone returned to Philadelphia, where he became a general agent for Connecticut Mutual. When the CML agencies were merged with MassMutual, he took the opportunity to move to MetLife where he became the Managing Director in Philadelphia.

During his 13-year tenure as Managing Director of the MetLife Agency in Philadelphia, Mingone grew the agency to 55 agents and three sales managers producing substantial first-year commissions with approximately 50% of the production in life commissions. He also qualified for Chairman's Council as a Managing Director.

Mingone has also been a member of GAMA for 20+ years, and once held the title of president of his local chapter. He has received the GAMA Diamond Award multiple times as well as serving with the local NAIFA chapter in Philadelphia. Mingone holds his FINRA Series 6, 7, 9, 10, 26 and 63 registrations.

In his spare time, Mingone enjoys boating on the Chesapeake, sport fishing, golfing and spending time with his two sons, Nicholas, 19, and Michael, 13.
