Aetna Inc. is introducing 3 new individual Medicare Supplement insurance options throughout Virginia.

Aetna already has been offering Medicare Advantage health maintenance organization and preferred provider organization plans in Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince William counties.

Aetna already has been offering Medicare Advantage health maintenance organization and preferred provider organization plans in Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince William counties.

Medicare enrollees who buy the Medigap plans can use any doctor or other provider who accepts Medicare, and they can combine a Medigap plan with an Aetna stand-alone Medicare prescription drug plan, the company says.

The new Aetna individual Medigap plans include a 1-year rate guarantee.

Plan enrollees will have access to 97 hospitals, 2,513 primary care doctors, and 10,720 specialists.
