Golden Rule Adds Plans

A UnitedHealth Group Inc. unit is rolling out new individual and family health insurance products in 19 states and the District of Columbia.

Golden Rule Insurance Company, Indianapolis, says the new policies offer coinsurance and deductible choices, an annual deductible credit and up to $10,000 in supplemental accident coverage.

Golden Rule, which was acquired by UnitedHealth, Minnetonka, Minn., in 2003, is marketing the products under the UnitedHealthOne brand name.

The plans are available in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin, as well as in the District of Columbia.

Golden Rule is introducing new dental products in Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, South Dakota and Wyoming and new flexible short term plans in North Carolina and West Virginia.
