A benefits firm has worked with a local college to get $500,000 in training funds from the Texas Workforce Commission.
CONEXIS, part of the Word & Brown Companies, Orange Calif., and North Lake College of Dallas are using the grant to create a 67-course training program that combines the efforts of CONEXIS trainers and North Lake College instructors, CONEXIS says.
The program, which started Aug. 31, is set to run until Aug. 30, 2010.
The program is training CONEXIS staff members in computer programming, customer service, communications, project management, and software development.
