Many U.S. families have only a vague idea of how they would cope if the breadwinner died.
New York Life Insurance Company, New York, has published data concerning that problem in a summary of results from an online survey of 925 U.S. adults ages 30 and older.
About 83% of the participants said the economic crisis has increased their desire to provide financial protection for their family, and 88% of parents with children under 18 said they want to provide better protection.
