Gender continues to affect workers’ insurance arrangements.

Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., Hartford, discusses the differences between men’s coverage and women’s coverage in a summary of results from a survey of 1,019 U.S. adults, ages 18-64, that was conducted in April.

About 61% of the women who work said they have life insurance through their employers, compared with 68% of the men, but only 64% said they “completely or mostly” understand life insurance, compared with 79% of the men who participated.

Only 28% of the women said they have a will, compared with 42% of the men.
