New York Life Insurance Company, New York, has named Tim C. FitzGerald, MSFS, AEP, its Council President, an honor bestowed annually on the New York Life producer with the company’s highest production and service achievements. He began his term as Council President in July 2009 and will serve through June 2010. FitzGerald, based in Shreveport, La., is the top producer among the company’s elite field force, a group comprised of 11,000 licensed New York Life producers. FitzGerald specializes in wealth management and estate planning for individuals and business owners.

FitzGerald is the senior partner in TFG Financial, a full service financial services firm specializing in individual and business wealth management; business and family succession; key person retention and employee benefits. His partners in TFG Financial are David Kendrick and Jerry Lorey, who are both Chairman’s Council producers, New York Life’s top tier of producers, as well as members of the Nautilus Group. FitzGerald also has an additional partner in TFG Financial Group Benefits, Jason Weinland, who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of employee benefits and solutions.
FitzGerald received the Masters of Science in Financial Services (MSFS) degree from the Graduate School of Financial Sciences of the American College, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. He also earned the Accredited Estate Planner (AEP) designation. FitzGerald is a member of Nautilus Plus, a group of 25 top producers nationwide, which is a value-added resource to his clients in complex cases involving estate planning and business succession and he is a member of Million Dollar Round Table’s Top of the Table, an international, independent association of 35,000 of the world’s best life insurance and financial service professionals from 76 nations and territories.

FitzGerald and his wife, Laura, live in Shreveport with their children, Miles, Mary and Conner. He enjoys cycling and raising horses and is very active in his community. FitzGerald has served on numerous local YMCA committees; was a member of the governor appointed Council For Public Law 99457, better known as The Infants and Toddlers Act, where the focus was on children with disabilities; and was Co-Chairman of that Council. He is also on the Board of Directors for Paxton’s Youth Boxing Gym and helps put on the Joe Ferguson Football Camp, a free football camp for the area youth. FitzGerald and his wife are members of St. George’s Orthodox Church.
