Christopher Littlefield is now the chief executive officer of Aviva USA.
Littlefield has been the chief operating officer at the Des Moines, Iowa, life and annuity business since February 2008.
Aviva P.L.C., London, the parent of the business, created it after acquiring AmerUs Group Company, Des Moines. Aviva combined the AmerUs operations with U.S. operations it had already owned.
Littlefield became general counsel of AmerUs in January 2006, about 6 months before AmerUs and Aviva announced their deal.
Littlefield has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Arizona and a law degree from the University of Iowa. He is a trustee of the Hospice of Central Iowa Foundation.
