Disability RMS, Westbrook, Maine, a provider of turnkey disability risk management products and services, has announced that Amy P. Thompson, will be a featured panelist at LIMRA International’s Group Benefits Leadership Conference set for Sept. 14-16 in Boston. Thompson will address the unique needs of small and large employers in a Sept. 15 session (10:15-11:30 a.m.) titled “Leveraging Digital Technology: Success, Failures and Opportunities.”

The panel will focus on how carriers can leverage digital technology to improve servicing and marketing efforts with employers and employees. Content for this session will also include the latest digital marketing trend data.

“Both small and large employers utilize technology. They tend, however, to utilize it in different ways,” said Thompson. “For example, a large employer may expect a high level of information and functionality accessible through on-line self service tools whereas a small employer may require a mix of on-line and more traditional tools such a paper enrollment materials and hard copy brochures. The key to servicing both markets successfully is flexibility and the willingness to customize the tools to the employers’ specific needs.”

Thompson is Human Resources Officer at Disability RMS and oversees all aspects of the HR function. Her areas of responsibility include the interpretation and application of employment law, compensation analysis and administration, and the development of recruitment programs designed to attract and retain outstanding talent. She earned her B.A. and M.B.A. from the University of Maine and is an active member of the Society of Human Resources Management as well as the Human Resources Association of Maine.
