? The American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance has launched an online LTC Learning, Marketing & Sales Center as part of its Producer’s Resource Center. “The new center will be the single, most comprehensive resource available for agents interested in making their first long-term care insurance sale as well as the seasoned LTC insurance specialist seeking more in-depth knowledge,” explained Jesse Slome of the AALTCI. “The Association’s new resource will provide valuable information plus actual sales and marketing material that producers can use to generate more prospects and close more LTC sales.”

? The Million Dollar Roundtable (RDMT) has updated its retirement solutions Web site (www.Boomertirement.com) with new planning documents, presentations, and other tools for financial planners. One of the highlights is a series of recaps of Boomertirement Road Shows sponsored by the Partnership for Retirement Education and Planning (PREP) held in five cities earlier this year.

? The American College has instituted a nine-course requirement for its Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation. The requirement for the ninth course goes into effect on October 1, 2009. Until then, those seeking the ChFC designation will be allowed to complete the designation by pursuing eight courses. The updating and refining of the capstone case study course has been over a year in the making. Each course has a comprehensive examination and the typical ChFC student takes between two to three years to complete the program of study.

? The Insured Retirement Institute, formerly NAVA, will host its 2009 Annual Meeting September 20-22 in Boston (www.irionline.org).
