A managed accounts vendor has come out with a tool that advisors can use to help clients review and analyze their investments.

Curian Capital L.L.C., Denver, a unit of Prudential P.L.C., London, says the new Curian Custom Wealth Platform system can show all of an investor’s Curian holdings.

Curian develops systems for fee-based advisors who prefer to pick stocks for a client, rather than relying on off-the-shelf mutual funds.

Curian encourages advisors to use a “custom wealth plan” to set up separate pools of assets to meet the client’s various planning needs, and then to assign separate investment goals and risk tolerance levels to each pool. The new holdings viewer can help an advisor work with a client to create a new custom wealth plan, Curian says.
